Speech

Picture this, dawdling through the park on a summer's day, when a gargantuan puff of smoke sweeps past your cheeks like a deadly broom. Dropping on the ground, instantly your organs begin to slow. I bet you're wondering how all of this happened. A cigarette. Cigarettes can cause many diseases such as lung disease and heart disease, it's true!

According to Sally Mole, 84% of smokers end up with smoking linked diseases like throat diseases, mouth diseases, bladder problems and even pregnancy problems. You will be surprised to know that if smokers start at 20,96% of them risk throwing away 10 YEARS of their life.

Did you know that 79.6% of smokers start this disgusting habit between 16 and 20 years of age. That surprises me. 766,500 children are under the influence to smoke, therefore 66,000 children die each year. But are the cigarette prices doing anything?

Recent studies say that their is 20% decrease in smoking consumption since they boosted the prices up to $30 dollars two years ago, that means they are more likely to quit. New Zealand might even be smoke-free by 2025.

We need to be doing more to prevent smoking in the years to come, because smoking creates deadly diseases, it influences children to start and the cost of smokes are insane. So are you going to take the last smoke in the packet.
